Friendly reception, lovely decor, clean and great breakfast

Beautiful hotel and well appointed comfortable room

No one let us know beforehand that there was going to be a planned power outage at the hotel for the day and no parking available near reception of the restaurants. Cattle Baron restaurant is not up to the standard of the hotel, steak was very good but beef ribs were terrible and staff not properly trained e.g. soup spoons given for desert and desert not as per the menu

Very Good

The decor, facilities , food, atmosphere The location , very relaxed atmosphere. The cinema is a great bonus. The staff all all friendly and accommodating.

The only criticism for this particular weekend is that there could have been some focus on the world cup. Involve the staff so that they could also participate , there was only one barman on duty There could have been a special menu. It was after all the world cup. those who were there and watched together on the patio made the atmosphere. Also please consider heating the pool, even just a little. The play area also needs alot more attention and a update.

Loved the venue and hospitality was superb. Didn’t enjoy the breakfast

Location was superb.

Loved the property. Was really disappointed with the breakfast. Arrived at 10hoo. Staff seemed tired and moody. Couldn’t get a decent cup of coffee and the food was really oily.

Very Good

Breakfast was really good. The pool area was quite nice for our kids. All in all very clean and quiet, which was what we wanted.

We had a minor issue with a bath leak but it was sorted out promptly by reception and the maintenance staff. The phones in our room and the one next door also didn't work but this was a minor inconvenience

Wonderful

Everything! Amazing place to relax a bit.

Only flaw for me personally is the shortage on staff to be quite honest and the planning. The spa was overloaded and we needed to wait to be let in for breakfast. Perhaps when people check in, they can reserve a certain time slot for breakfast, then they can prepare for the load of people coming in. I know of hotels that follows these measures and it is very successful. The buffet breakfast was overloaded, staff was overwhelmed and plates and cutlery was not avail at all times.

The breakfast was fine with a variety of food. Missed stewed fruits. Surroundings excellent.

We reported the disturbing noise of the fridge in the room when the thermostat was running. Clapping sound from day one to day of leaving.

It was an experience of a life time, and yes. I will be back soon!!

Breakfast was LEKKER!! Loved the mushrooms. Staff was friendly upon arrival at breakfast. I was impressed with the service I received when I placed my diner order and asked if it could be brought to my room. I was not feeling well.

I was not told about the gym facilities (if I could utilize it). Put in a FREE round of golf for fist time comers. I'm not going to be next time, but I will still play around of golf on my own.

Room fantastic, loved the roominess of bedroom & bathroom and staff friendly & professional

Breakfast was good and options satisfactory. The first night supper was disappointing - presentation + limited veg option Second night supper was good - opted for steak and veg option improved

Supper should have more options, maybe a second small fine dining room to serve quality local dishes (sea food - game)

My Stay was great. Loved the hotel, enjoyed the fact that the beach was close by. I will be back.

Breakfast was good. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the West Coast. I liked that the Hotel is busy improving its service everyday and employing the local people. I LOVED the rooms and the décor. Stunning.

Improving the Wi-Fi in the rooms. I kept losing connection and it was very slow. I had some issues with the safe, as there were no instructions on usage in the room. Cleaning Staff storage area was right opposite our room, so we could hear them early in the morning making a noise.

The staff and reception and at the Spa are very helpful, always doing a little extra to ensure your stay is pleasant. Lovely rooms and ambiance. Comfortable bed, perfect place to getaway from the city. Absolutely loved and appreciated the dental kit, which has a little toothbrush and some toothpaste. The beach safari was the best activity, great way to see the west coast,

The staff seemed a little overwhelmed on busy days (weekend), the restaurant service gets a little slow and your almost always find your self waiting more than 30min for a meal. We waited for over an hour for a burger and steak on Saturday night

All very average.

All very average. Beautifully taken care of property.

Staff are terrible. Unhelpful and unreliable. Effectively they are just poorly trained and service is the worst. The entrance we entered through closes at 7pm so could not get in. Very unhelpful with granting us access and made us drive around the entire town to get to the main entrance. Overall very disappointing and will not be staying there again. Breakfast was equivalent to a 2 star hotel and service once again disgusting.

Not often this impressed...

Impressive !! From the welcome, to the staff, to the room, to the breakfasts, to the proximity to walks on the looooong beach & golf course - all were impressive. Loved it, loved the stay - sad to leave...

Unfortunately the steak served at the restaurant, a Cattle Baron franchise, was not well prepared and not as ordered. The staff however were excellent.

5-Star Worthy Stay

Breathtakingly beautiful property with gorgeous decor, friendly staff, Sweetie Pies at turndown, fantastic Kids Club (think pizza making, pottery, cupcake decorating, movies), awesome Shelley Point beach within walking distance, Wiesenhof coffee in room with plunger, loads of books available if you forgot to take yours along, as well as a toothbrush , cinema, huge pool etc. etc.

A few more Vegan options at restaurants would be great

Mediterranean feel of the hotel. Rooms were big and well stocked from coffee to toothbrush. Great coffee in the room. Restaurant the Cattle Baron food was fantastic.

A good place to stay to see the wild flowers and to visit Paternoster.

The property has been extensively renovated and no expense has been spared. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The owner's investment in this west coast region is a real boost for employment

We had a lower ground floor room that faced east. Although it was beautifully furnished, it was cold and dark. We weren't too sure about the pseudo statues either.
